This is our final Blog Hop of 2023! We'll be taking the nexxt couple of weeks off to spend time recuperating and celebrating. Today's topic is:

Does your community decorate for the holiday season? What about yourself? Share photos and stories.

One neighbourhood in our city is especially famous for its Christmas lights and displays. It's called "Candy Cane Lane" and even has a metal arch with the name in the (more) lights. You can drive or walk the streets for free and one of the residents even has a low power radio station that plays holiday music.

As for ourselves, Mr. C gets all the credit for our decorations. My only job is to dress the tree. Usually our lights go up November 12 or 13 (after Remembrance Day, of course) and stay up until January. Here are some photos of our house, yard and a couple views of our neighbours too.

I love all the lights at this time of year. It really does light up the dark on these short, gloomy days.
